A war of ‘insults’ and academic collaboration

On the difficulties of academic research in Iran.
So, it seems there were reasons for the Iranians being miffed at the Queen's non-birthday party at the embassy: she went and knighted Rushdie for his services to literature. Some chance of friendly collaboration between academics from British Universities and Iran. Well there is an SNP government in Edinburgh now. Perhaps we should ask Alex Salmond to unilaterally declare a republic.
